Cookie Policy
Last updated: 27 June 2026. We may update this policy from time to time; the date shown here reflects the latest version.
This Cookie Policy explains how Virtus Academy uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. Because this is a free site with no accounts, we use very few cookies — and none for advertising unless you consent.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. “Similar technologies” (such as local storage) work in much the same way. They can be set by us (first-party) or by third parties such as Google.
Consent first: nothing tracks you by default
We use Google Consent Mode v2, which keeps all advertising and analytics storage set to “denied” by default. When you first visit, Google’s certified consent message asks for your choice. No advertising cookies are set unless and until you accept.
The cookies we use
1. Strictly necessary
These make the site work and remember your decisions. In practice, the only strictly-necessary storage here is what Google’s consent tool uses to remember your cookie choice so you’re not asked on every page. These cannot be switched off, as the site relies on them to honour your preference.
2. Advertising (only with your consent)
These are set by Google AdSense to keep our resources free. With your consent, Google may use cookies or similar identifiers to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and (where you allow it) personalise ads. Google is the party that sets these cookies, as an independent controller. If you decline, these cookies are not used.

We do not currently use any analytics cookies. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in future, it will be consent-based and listed here first.
Changing your choice
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page — it reopens Google’s consent message so you can update your preferences. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some sites may not work as expected if you do.
